Resources For Working or Teaching Remotely: Articles and Instructions

While there are no known cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) at Chapman University, nor among the many students studying abroad, the University has transitioned to remote remote instructional formats effective March 12. 

Whether you’re a faculty member adjusting to remote instruction or a staff member preparing to work remotely, the follow articles provide instruction on how to use key campus resources.

  • Take your meetings online with Office 365 Teams, a platform that allows for online chat, video and phone conferencing. 
  • Access VPN, Chapman’s virtual private network that is essential for logging onto shared drives. 
  • Learn how to use your office phone, in and out of the office.
  • Schedule meetings with using FindTime
  • Download the Panther Guardian app to communicate with Public Safety, no matter where you are.
  • Get familiar with WorkFront, SMC’s new project management platform. 
  • Transform your courses with Canvas, Chapman’s innovative new learning management system. 
  • Download Grammerly Premium for free for quick edits and feedback. 
  • Log onto Adobe Creative Cloud for free on your personal and University-owned device.
