Professor Wachs invited by renowned violinist Midori to adjudicate concerto competition

Daniel Alfred Wachs, assistant professor and director of instrumental studies in the Conservatory of Music at the College of Performing Arts, was invited by world-renowned violinist Midori to serve as an adjudicator at USC’s Thornton School of Music Concerto Competition. He also adjudicated at the recent regional finals of the ASTA (American String Teacher’s Association) Competition, which was held at Cal State Fullerton.

In early May, Professor Wachs was invited to rehearse the Hunter Symphony at City University of New York and at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. Most recently he returned from a re-engagement conducting the Monterey Symphony.
