PeopleSoft Finance was upgraded over the weekend.

On Monday, 2/19/24, you will notice a few changes to the PeopleSoft Finance look, specifically to search pages. A few of the more notable changes are listed in PeopleSoft Update 2024-Feb.

Please note that we advise clearing your browser cache before logging in, after any PeopleSoft upgrade.

PeopleSoft Finance maintenance is scheduled for 2/17/24 from 7 AM to 7 PM. To stay up to date, please visit status.chapman.edu.

After the maintenance window is over, it is recommended that you clear your browser's cache before you log in.

The open house is QR-Code driven. Bring your phone for games.

We have received reports that some users cannot access Microsoft Teams, and certain functionalities within the Teams platform do not perform as expected. Microsoft has been notified of these issues, and its technical team is actively investigating to identify and resolve the problem as swiftly as possible.

The Information Systems and Technology team (IS&T) is aware of these issues and will issue updates as they become available on https://status.chapman.edu/.

Update: Microsoft has resolved this issue.

We are pleased to inform you that the user interface for Chapman University timesheets has been updated to provide a more efficient experience. The updates have been carefully designed to simplify tasks and reduce the time and effort required to navigate the system.

Introduction of New Features:

The updated Timesheet User Interface features bring significant advantages by providing an enhanced user experience, mobile accessibility, self-service capabilities, and improved efficiency. Some changes include:

  • The Timesheet UI has been updated to provide a detailed summary of user-submitted time entries from the main screen, enabling users to view their information more easily and effortlessly.

  • For users with multiple positions, the "Select a Job" section has been included to streamline the time submission process. Users will be able to differentiate between multiple timesheets more efficiently when submitting their time.

Support or Questions:

Access to the latest Timesheet training resources is available on the Training Resources page under the Time and Labor section before the update goes live. The Payroll Department will also be available to address any questions or concerns as the updates go live. Please contact them at payroll@chapman.edu.

Important Note: You may need to reset your browser's cache to see the "My Time" tile in the Employee/Manager Self-Service.

IS&T is aware of an issue affecting the PeopleSoft campus (student and faculty center) and finance access. We are investigating this and will provide an update soon.

Update: The issue's root cause is still under investigation, but we believe that services have been resolved. If you are still experiencing issues, please contact the Service Desk at servicedesk@chapman.edu.

The Information Systems and Technology team (IS&T) will be conducting an upgrade to our general IT Software Licensing server during the upcoming Thanksgiving break. This upgrade will enhance our software's performance, security, and overall efficiency.

We have scheduled this maintenance window during the Thanksgiving break to minimize disruption and inconvenience to our team members. Once the upgrade is complete, you can look forward to improved performance and access to the latest software versions.

During this maintenance period, the following applications will be temporarily unavailable for approximately four hours:

  • Mathematica 
  • ArcGIS 
  • ArcGIS Pro 
  • SPSS 26 and below 
  • Matlab 

Date and time for this upgrade: November 21, 2023, 8 am to 5 pm.

We understand that these applications are crucial for many of you, and we apologize for any inconvenience this temporary unavailability may cause. This upgrade is essential to ensure our software's long-term reliability and functionality.
