Giving Day donations will be used to enable programs and activities for students, scholarships and financial aid, assistance for their physical and mental well being and more. This 24-hour day of giving will bring together Chapman’s alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and community members ensuring every student has the resources needed to attain the Chapman Experience they work hard for and deserve to have, regardless of their ability to pay.

Chapman’s Annual Giving Day has raised more than $3 million since its inception just four years ago. Giving Day proved to be especially significant over the last two years, when funds were used to assist vulnerable students whose finances were seriously impacted by the pandemic. In 2021, the Chapman community raised a record-setting $1.2 million on Giving Day, and was named one of the top five charity events in Orange County. This year’s event is on track to be even more impactful.

“Our students need our support now more than ever before,” said Matt Parlow, Chapman’s executive vice president and chief advancement officer. “In the midst of this challenging economy, our students need ongoing support for every aspect of their academic lives. Even the smallest gift can have an immediate impact on a student’s education here at Chapman.”

On Giving Day, the Chapman community can follow the day’s events on social media, with special features being shared throughout the day on FacebookTwitter and Instagram, where they can engage with campus leaders and students and learn directly how funds raised this year will be used to help support the education of current and future students. The community is also invited to join dean of students Jerry Price and Pete the Panther for the Party in the Piazza, a celebration of giving, thanks and our Chapman family that will feature music from Chapman Radio DJ’s, snacks, games, swag and more. Attendees can make their own gifts for Giving Day as well.

Visit the Giving Day website for more information and to learn how you can make an immediate impact on students at Chapman with a gift of any size.
