Chapman University alumnus Jim Byron ’15 has been elected president and CEO of the Nixon Foundation. Byron has worked for the foundation for nearly 15 years, having started as a marketing intern when still a teenager before coming to Chapman to major in business administration. His efforts include helping to raise funds for a major renovation of the Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda, Calif.
Byron will replace Hugh Hewitt, a professor of law at Chapman’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law, who is stepping down after leading the foundation since mid-2019 and will remain on the Board of Directors. James Cavanaugh, Chairman of the Nixon Foundation Board of Directors, recently endowed a new chair in presidential studies at Chapman University.
