‘Frackers’ author, journalist Gregory Zuckerman to receive Presidential Medal

Zuckerman will deliver a talk at 4 p.m. and sign books afterward in the Lyon Conference Center, Argyros Forum 209. Books will be available at the book signing.

The Frackers: The Outrageous Inside Story of the New Billionaire Wildcatters, a national bestseller published in 2013 by Portfolio/Penguin Press, describes how a few unlikely individuals created an American energy resurgence.

At the Journal, Zuckerman writes about major financial trades, hedge funds, private-equity firms, energy and other investing and business topics. In the past, he was the lead writer of the widely read Heard on the Street column and has covered the credit markets.

Zuckerman also wrote The Greatest Trade Ever: The Behind-the-Scenes Story of How John Paulson Defied Wall Street and Made Financial History, a New York Times and Wall Street Journal 2010 best-seller. The book has been translated into nine languages.
