The Attallah Piazza was alive with the Italian spirit during the annual Uncle Paul’s Pasta Party.

The Fourth Annual Paul’s Piazza Pasta Party brought out a large crowd of students, faculty and staff members on Monday, Oct. 8, for a sumptuous free dinner on the Attallah Piazza at Chapman University in celebration of Columbus Day.

Two kinds of pasta, salads, sausage and peppers, Italian bread, fruit and cookies were heaped high on plates, and party-goers relaxed at tables on the piazza for an Italian-style evening, complete with live Continental tunes performed by an accordion player.

The benefactors of the feast were longtime Chapman friends and supporters Marybelle and S. Paul Musco, who have thrown the party for the past four years both to celebrate their Italian heritage (and that of a certain Chapman president) and as a treat for the students. The Muscos were recently honored for their dedicated leadership efforts in the successful fund-raising campaign for Chapman’s $64 million Center for the Arts, now under construction.  The 1,050-seat arts venue has been named the Marybelle and Sebastian P. Musco Center for the Arts to salute this dynamic duo who have done so very much for Chapman University.
