Moot Court team advances to national competition

At the regional Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition held in Denver in late October, students from Chapman University’s School of Law took three first-place awards in the categories of First Place team, Brief and Oralist.

The team of Rich Wu and Jon Hammond won the Regional and the Best Brief Award.  Lindsay Johnson, partnered with Lindsay Smith, took the top Oralist Award.  Wu and Hammond now advance to the national competition, to be held in Atlanta, Ga.

Assisting the team was coach Andy Bugman (J.D. ’07), who traveled with the teams, Jon Mason, their Moot Court Board “handler,” and Brad Schoenleben ’03 and (J.D. ’07) and the Moot Court Board members who helped by judging practices.
