Microsoft has confirmed that the initial root cause of the brief service interruption was due to a network infrastructure change that happened within the Microsoft 365 service.

IS&T is currently aware and investigating an issue with the Microsoft 365 log-in system.
Around 11:30 a.m. (PST) There was a brief service interruption on Microsoft Teams and Outlook. Users likely experienced issues logging into both services or were kicked out during use. Users may have also seen an impact to Exchange Online, Outlook.com, and OneDrive
