Journal to Publish Article by Prof. LaBelle and Health Communication Graduate Student

A manuscript by Sara LaBelle, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the School of Communication, and Allie White ’18, a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in health and strategic communication, has been accepted for publication by the peer-reviewed journal Communication Education.

The article, “A qualitative investigation of instructors’ perceived communicative roles in students’ mental health management,” is the result of collaboration between LaBelle and White, who completed her undergraduate work at Chapman with a double major in strategic and corporate communication as well as public relations and advertising.

LaBelle’s areas of expertise include teacher authenticity and communication in the teacher-learning context as well as health communication and prescription stimulant misuse.
