Paul Paton, dean of Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law, has been appointed to the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on International Trade in Legal Services for a three-year term starting in August.
The committee “monitors ongoing trade negotiations and other initiatives that impact trade in legal services; informs and educates ABA members and state regulators about legal services trade issues and their implications for the regulation and practice of law in the U.S. and abroad; and regularly communicates with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the Department of Commerce regarding legal services,” according to the ABA.
Paton is also involved with the International Bar Association.
