Chapman University President Emeritus Jim Doti penned an Orange County Register op-ed ‘Come home, Republicans, to the Party of Lincoln,’ calling for the Republican Party to return to the Party of Lincoln, founded on valuing the dignity of all people.
“When I witness the looming candidacy of Donald Trump, I lament how far the Republican party has strayed from that central value,” said Doti.
Doti urged the Republican presidential candidates to argue for something consistent with the founding values of the Republican party, including opening the border with Mexico and allowing the free movement of people.
