The Sandi Simon Center for Dance is located on N. Cypress Street in the historic Villa Park Orchards packing house, next to The K residence hall.

The three-level facility houses state of the art studios, training facilities, classrooms, faculty offices, meeting rooms and communal relaxation ares.

Built within the 1918 Villa Park Orchards Association Packing House, the center features spacious interiors a wall of clerestory windows that fill the space with natural light.

The new facility was possible thanks to a $5 million naming gift from Ron and Sandi Simon. ``The impact of Ron and Sandi Simon’s generosity will provide countless student opportunities and inspire Orange County’s arts community for years to come,`` said Ongaro, dean of the College of Performing Arts.

``When students walk into this building they’ll immediately see inside the studios and through the open area to the mezzanine where dancers can be stretching out. The light will be pouring in through the open windows. Looking over your shoulder, you’ll see one class. Look up and you’ll see another,” O’Brien says.

At nearly 33,000 square feet, the new dance facility will provide ample space for Chapman University's award-winning dance department.
