The Orange County Business Journal’s 2022 Charity Guide named Chapman University’s Giving Day a top five charity event based on gross revenue. On April 27, 2021, the Chapman community raised nearly $1.2 million, exceeding the previous year’s record by more than $70,000.
“I am grateful for all of the amazing donors from our community who came together to show their commitment to the Chapman experience, and to all of the work everyone at Chapman did to make the day such a success and for gaining such esteemed recognition from the Orange County Business Journal,” said Matt Parlow, Chapman’s executive vice president and chief advancement officer.
All funds raised on Giving Day went to a foundational resource called the Chapman Fund. This provides resources for student activities, faculty development, scholarships, the university’s programs, research centers and more. It was also able to help financially impacted families due to the pandemic.
