Stressed Out During Finals? Chapman University Resources to Help You Take a Break

Amidst the flurry of preparing for final exams, it’s important to block out some time for your mental well-being. Whether you need help dealing with increased stress and anxiety or you just want to take a break from studying, Chapman University offers a variety of events and resources to help students, faculty and staff get through this challenging time. 

Keep reading for a roster of special events, tips and tricks for surviving finals week and a list of special service hours for campus facilities.

Special Events

Finals week kicks off with a chance to hang out virtually with cast members and writers from Saturday Night Live. And if that’s not enough, we’re happy to announce the return of Midnight Breakfast! Be sure to follow @lifeatcu and @chapmanupb for event updates and finals week tips and tricks.

Spring Speaker: Virtual Roundtable with Saturday Night Live
Thursday, May 13, 7 p.m.

Join a virtual roundtable with SNL cast members and writers just for Chapman students! Special guests include Pete Davidson, Mikey Day, Punkie Johnson, Anna Drezen and Celeste Yim while they are backstage preparing for this week’s episode! You will have the chance to submit questions for the panelists to answer! Get your free ticket before spaces fill up.

Midnight Breakfast
Friday, May 14, 5-8 p.m.
Stop by Musco Lawn to grab some free breakfast food (vegan and gluten-free options available), pose at the photo booth, and get free UPB merchandise, including an exclusive Midnight Breakfast T-shirt! To attend, you must register for a specific time slot. All CU Safely Back on-campus protocols will be enforced, and you must show your campus clearance before walking through.

Daily, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Stop by to take advantage of services such as mobile printing, Amazon lockers, CSA boxes, study tables, and music and T.V. 

Argyros Fitness Center Hours
Take a break from studying and visit the fitness center, which will be open during finals week,  May 17-21. Be sure to follow @chapmanfitrec on Instagram for healthy tips and event announcements!
