Congratulations to This Week’s Service Plan of Recognition Recipients

We are proud to name this week’s Service Plan of Recognition awardees for their extraordinary work as Chapman responds to COVID-19. Each staff and administrator selected embodies the dedication and integrity that continues to drive and strengthen Chapman University.

This week’s recipients are: 

Bernard West, operations manager, Randall Dining Commons, Sodexo               

Bernard has been doing a fantastic job of getting all of the protocols in place for COVID-19. – Eric Cameron

Brian Graves, HR service and satisfaction agent, Human Resources

To support lecturers and grad students in need of 2nd assignments in order to complete their Canvas training, Brian has worked tirelessly to process hundreds of requests, taking ownership of these special requests while continuing his daily work.  His dedication and professionalism are much appreciated! – Brian Powell

Craig Williams, accessibility technology analyst, IS&T

Jose Salomon, lead data architect, IS&T

Craig and Jose worked long hours to enable the safe return of essential faculty and staff. They have created a new system to report the status of Covid training, testing and daily monitoring and have been flexible with requirements that change daily. – Helen Norris

Lisa Arranga, senior programmer analyst, IS&T

Lisa developed the LabCorp eligibility file for the COVID tests and has been supporting employees that have had issues.  She is also assisting the Health Center in addressing issues related to the file and to support. – Helen Norris

Ramiro Landeros, web and mobile development manager, IS&T

Ramiro has taken on the role of leading the Teaching Remotely support team, overseeing direct technical support to faculty in Canvas and Zoom; different to his “regular” job.  He has taken on this task with competence and a great attitude. – Helen Norris

Matthew Conrad, campus space planner, Office of Campus Planning & Design

Matthew has contributed to multiple task forces and committees in the CU Safely Back planning effort, and he continues to contribute in the adaptation of the plans to evolving circumstances. Matthew integrated multiple classroom inventories into a single data source, set out the broad parameters for CU Safely Back signage, and is creating an integrated campus site plan with locations and amenities for campus outdoor breakout spaces. Utilizing his GIS and campus planning skills, Matthew has contributed notably to the current pandemic and planning for the reopening of the campus. – Collette Creppell

Shehani Reeder, executive assistant, Office of the Provost

Shehani is doing a mountain of work getting faculty approved for their return to campus. It is because of her that this process has gone very smoothly. – Glenn Pfeiffer
