Rodgers Center to open fall event series with ‘Denial’ film screening, author visit

A screening of the feature film Denial, a panel discussion with Armenian Genocide experts and a talk by a champion of human rights make up the fall events series offered by Chapman University’s Rodgers Center for Holocaust Education.

The series “History, Memory, Justice” opens in Memorial Hall on Monday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. with the screening of Denial, the 2016 drama based on Deborah Lipstadt’s riveting memoir History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier.

Lipstadt, a professor of modern Jewish history and Holocaust studies at Emory University, will present the John and Toby Martz Distinguished Lecture in Holocaust Studies on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 7 p.m. in the Fish Interfaith Center. A book signing will follow the lecture.
