’01 will be among the all-star guest authors, poets, editors and publishers participating in the Chapman University Creative Writing Program’s Pub(lishing) Crawl and Book Signing on Tuesday, April 8, from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The “crawl” will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Argyros Forum 209B-C and will feature Fowler and Staniec, along with poets Stephanie Brown and Scott Creley as well as Suzanne Greenberg, author of
Speed-Walk and Other Stories
and
Lesson Plans
. Their discussion of what it takes to interest publishers will be moderated by novelist
James Blaylock
, associate professor.
A book singing will follow from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Malloy Performance Portico, Leatherby Libraries, third floor, and feature an additional guest author, Mary Platt, director of communications and media relations at Chapman University, whose essay on contemporary treatments of Sherlock Holmes literature appears in the anthology One Fixed Point in a Changing Age: A new Generation on Sherlock Holmes.
