Round up the neighbors and bring them to campus Thursday, Nov. 29, at 5 p.m. for Chapman University’s inaugural “Winterfest” and Holiday Tree-Lighting. This community event will feature a marketplace of booths vending holiday gifts, live performances of seasonal music by the Chapman student ensembles, free hot chocolate and hot cider, and children’s activities, including a free train ride through the campus.
The campus will be illuminated with thousands of holiday lights when President Jim Doti throws the switch, lighting up “Doy’s Tree,” a large pine named for longtime Chapman friend and trustee Doy Henley, and the forest of trees around the campus’ central Attallah Piazza. Come and sip a hot drink, shop the vendors, stroll the campus, enjoy the music and admire the lights!
