When one of the world’s most renowned physicists turns 80, a celebration is definitely in order. And guess what? You’re invited.

To mark the birthday of renowned physicist Yakir Aharonov, professor in the Schmid College of Science and Technology and winner of the National Medal of Science, Chapman University is hosting a conference for the world’s most noted physicists Aug. 16-18. Most of the scientific meetings and talks are invitation-only. But one event on the schedule is free and open to the public and has a Facebook event page where everyone can check in for details and invite friends. The free talk and discussion will feature five of the world’s greatest physicists on stage together Thursday, Aug. 16, at 5:30 p.m. in the Fish Interfaith Center, Wallace All Faiths Chapel.
