Chapman University’s Rodgers Center for Holocaust Education will present “An Evening of Holocaust Remembrance” at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in Memorial Hall. This year’s theme, “Metaphors of Memory: A Witness Through the Arts” will feature a student-created project in music, documentary film and original choreographed dance. The unique program will be created and performed by Holocaust history minors, class of 2011.
The annual memorial event will also include the traditional lighting of the six Candles of Remembrance and reflections delivered by Rabbi Heidi Cohen from Temple Beth Sholom in Santa Ana and the Rev. Nancy Brink, director of the Office of Church Relations at Chapman University. In addition, a musical tribute will be presented by Cantor Chayim Frenkel of Kehillat Israel Reconstructionist Congregation of Pacific Palisades, accompanied by David Kamenir.
