Chapman University’s football team suited up for some important games this week.

Several members of the Chapman University football team, along with head coach Bob Owens and assistant head coach Dave Bishop, spent some time on Monday afternoon at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Fourteen Panthers – wearing their home cardinal and black jerseys – bonded and made new friends by reading and playing games with the children at CHOC.

This is the most recent of several outreach programs the Chapman football team has participated in over the years. The Panthers also made a DVD last spring to send to American troops in Afghanistan and plan to do that again this year.

covering the visit, one 6-year-old patient admitted “”I don’t like football because I play soccer. But I do like playing with you guys.”
