Under clear skies and with plenty of coffee for fuel,
President Jim Doti
and his son, Adam, who summited Mount Denali in June, had a great time running in last week’s San Francisco Marathon.
Despite the notoriously hilly course, President Doti said the race was terrific.
“Weather on race day was near-perfect, at least by San Francisco standards. I fueled up with a Venti coffee at Starbucks to offset the effects of jet lag … . I’ve run this marathon twice before in total fog. This running was the first time I could actually see the bridge,” he writes in a post on the
Chapman Run-Walk Facebook page
, where there are more photos and details in the notes section.
Speaking of races, remember you can register online for the
Chapman University Toyota of Orange 5K Run-Walk,
coming up Oct. 23. Thankfully, our race celebrates its lack of hills and is proudly touted as “The Flattest, Fastest and ‘Funnest’ 5K in the World.” What a relief!
