Can digital activism speed change in Vietnam?

The fight for social justice and political change is alive and well in the digital age. That’s the message of a seminar called Digital Activism: A Tool for Change in Vietnam, to be held Feb. 27-28 at Chapman. Young activists in Iran, Moldova and elsewhere around the world are using the Internet to challenge authoritarian regimes. This seminar seeks to empower those interested in a nonviolent struggle for democracy in Vietnam. The speakers are members of the Viet Tan organization with decades of experience as activists. The registration fee is $25, but scholarships are available. Friday (Feb. 19) is the deadline to register. More info: seminar@viettan.org.
