During the holiday break, staff members and Chapman University alumni Heather (Stoltzfus) Westenhofer ’97 and Peter Westenhofer ’00 visited alumna Monika (Palinay) Sudakov ’98 and her husband, Jeff, at their bed and breakfast, the Chestnut Street Inn, in Sheffield, Ill. Monika and Jeff have owned the inn for six years and serve dinners there in addition to breakfasts that feature local foods and are influenced by Monika’s world travels, particularly the Mediterranean.
While at the inn the Westenhofers also ran into Ruth Mohr, a professor who taught biology as a Chapman adjunct instructor more than 25 years ago!
To see more about Monika and the inn – she has just published a new cookbook on gluten-free entertaining and writes
a food blog
