There’s so much fun planned for
Chapman Family Homecoming Celebration
Oct. 10 to 12, you just might find yourself feeling a little dog tired by Saturday afternoon. Not to worry.
Chapman Magazine
can help with that. Make your way to Irvine Lecture Hall at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, grab a seat and and get ready to lap up a whole lot of canine cuteness. Among the many programs planned for the weekend is “Off the Page: Underwater Puppies” with author
Seth Casteel
’03.
Seth Casteel will talk about his photography and the techniques he uses to capture his underwater action shots of dogs from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, in Irvine Lecture Hall. Admission is free.
His bubbly, irresistible photos of underwater dogs made Casteel an international phenomenon two years ago, and also gave
Chapman Magazine
its most popular cover ever. Since his images of swimming pooches took off, Casteel’s photos have been featured in
National Geographic
,
The New York Times
, the
Today
show and on
Good Morning America
, and his first book,
Underwater Dogs
, became a New York Times best seller as well as the top-selling gift book in America.
Now his latest release,
Underwater Puppies
, is getting a splashy launch, making this an exciting time for him to return to Chapman and share his story with fellow alumni and friends. He’ll display his latest underwater images and talk about his journey, including how he volunteers his time to help shelter pets find forever homes. His books will be available for sale and signing after the presentation.
Read an interview with Casteel and find more photos in a recent issue of
