The departments of Strategic Marketing and Communications (SMC) and Parent Programs have won four gold medals in the Disctrict VII 2013 CASE Awards of Excellence for its publications and programs.
Three SMC publications won gold honors, including: Chapman Magazine in the category of general interest magazines with a circulation of 30,000 to 74,999; Chapman University: Celebrating the Past, Shaping the Future, a history book published for the university’s 150th anniversary; and Happenings, the university’s news blog, in the category of digital internal audience periodicals.
Parent Programs won a gold for its Parent Spring Meeting event in the category of programming for special constituencies
The university’s new website, redesigned by SMC, earned a silver in the category of complete institutional website.
Bronze honors went to SMC’s student recruitment publication Viewbook 2012-2013 and Chapman Magazine’s 2012 summer cover story “Get Creative!”
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) supports alumni relations, communications, development and marketing professionals at educational institutions worldwide. Its Awards of Excellence program recognizes the best practices and outstanding work among its professional membership.
