Shakespeare Orange County will present A Shakespearean Christmas, or
A Midwinter Night’s Dream
on Saturday, Dec, 17 at Chapman University’s Waltmar Theatre for one performance only. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Not since 2003 has SOC staged this original concept piece which features an ensemble cast of company members who perform songs, poetry, notions and stories of a simpler time. It’s a warm and evocative evening reminiscing special moments of years past as seen through the eyes of William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Clement C. Moore, Robert Frost, e.e. cummings, and Ogden Nash and also features traditional carols and personal remembrances.
The cast features many SOC regulars, including Michael Nehring, professor, Department of Theatre. Included in the ticket price is a special post-show dessert reception featuring an array of holiday treats. General Admission is $32.
