Food science team eats up the competition at regional college bowl

Chapman University’s Food Science College Bowl team retains its champion status, beating out Brigham Young University to clinch the regional competition. This is the third year in a row and the fourth time in five years that Chapman will advance to the national competition.

Team captain was Latha Murugesan and her teammates included Natasha Fazel, Megan Fobar, Daisy Jacinto and Yiqia Xia. Team advisor is Lilian Were, Ph.D., associate professor, Schmid College of Science.
