Finals Week Resources to Help You Recharge and Finish Strong Extended study spaces, yoga, and Midnight Breakfast are among the offerings available

Finals week is approaching, and Chapman University has a variety of resources available to help students stay focused, manage stress, and take meaningful breaks along the way. 

From extended study hours and free snacks to yoga, meditation spaces, and late-night breakfast, here’s what’s available during finals week. 

Students studying in the libraryStudy Spaces and Free Snacks 

The Leatherby Libraries will maintain their regular operating hours during finals week, while the After Hours Study Commons are open 24 hours a day through the morning of Friday, May 22, giving students extra flexibility for late-night study sessions. 

Students can also grab free snacks at the library from Friday, May 15, through Friday, May 22. 

Students relaxing in Wallace All Faiths ChapelSpaces for Reflection and Relaxation 

Students looking for a quiet moment during finals can visit the Wallace All Faiths Chapel, where the Chapman Labyrinth will be available for walking meditation from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, through 12 p.m. on Thursday, May 21. 

The Prayer and Meditation Room and Dee’s Garden of the Senses are also open to students seeking calm and reflection from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

Calm in the Chaos Campaign 

Wellness and Recreation’s “Calm in the Chaos” campaign continues through Friday, May 15, helping students manage stress and stay balanced during finals season. Students can pick up free stress balls, explore stress-relief tips on the Attallah Piazza Lawn, and contribute their own strategies to the interactive display wall in the Student Union. 

Yoga-Lattes on Memorial Lawn 

Students can unwind with Yoga-Lattes on Memorial Lawn on Sunday, May 17, at 10 a.m. The event includes a yoga class led by Group X instructor Cassie and complimentary Contra Coffee lattes. The first 20 students will receive a free iced coffee cup, and yoga mats will be available while supplies last. 

Fitness CenterFitness Center and Climbing Wall Hours 

Finals week hours for Wellness and Recreation facilities are as follows: 

  • Henley Hall Fitness Center: May 18–22, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.  
  • Julianne Argyros Fitness Center: May 18–22, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.  
  • Dahlem-Doti-Struppa Climbing Wall:  
    • Monday, May 18–Thursday, May 21: 7–10 p.m.  
    • Friday, May 22: 4–9 p.m.  

Midnight Breakfast 

The University Program Board will host its annual Midnight Breakfast on Monday, May 18, from 9 p.m. to midnight in the Argyros Forum Student Union. The breakfast gives students a chance to recharge with food and community before the final stretch of exams. 

As finals continue, students are encouraged to take breaks, support one another, and make use of the resources available throughout the week.
