Chapman University’s Orange campus transforms into a hub for young learners this summer with programs led by academic departments as well as outside partners. Students have their pick of programs in music, dance, cheer, yearbook creation, engineering, and basketball. Faculty and staff receive a $200 discount on music camp tuition, and early bird pricing for basketball camps ends March 31 — so now is the time to register.

Youth Basketball
Men’s Head Basketball Coach Dan Krikorian leads youth basketball camps run by PBC Camps for children ages 7–14. Three weeklong sessions are available this summer: June 22–26, July 27–31, and August 3–7. Tuition is $399 per session through March 31 and $429 after that. Register at PBC Camps.

USA Cheer Camp
Varsity USA offers a three-day cheer camp for junior high and high school students July 10–12. Tuition is $435 and includes housing and meals. Register at Varsity USA.
Dance
Backhaus Dance Summer Intensive
High school students can immerse themselves in dance in this intensive by Backhaus Dance. Sessions run Monday through Friday for three consecutive weeks: July 7–11, July 13–17, and July 20–24. Students may register for one, two, or all three weeks. Early bird tuition, available until March 27, is $825 for one week, $1,550 for two weeks, and $2,275 for three weeks. Jacob’s Pillow 360 Workshops and Intensives
Dancers ages 14–18 can participate in Jacob’s Pillow’s 360 Workshops and Intensives July 31–August 2. Cost: $400 (includes a $25 processing fee). Register at Jacob’s Pillow.
Engineering
Summer Engineering Academy
Students in grades 8–12 can spend a day tackling real-world design challenges and STEM projects alongside Chapman faculty in the Summer Engineering Academy. One-day workshops run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 15 through July 16 at Swenson Family Hall of Engineering. Topics include AI and game development, bioprinting, 3D design, and mobile app design. Music
Instrumental and Vocal Camps
Chapman’s College of Performing Arts offers two weeklong music camps for high school students entering grades 9–12 as part of the Lloyd & Elisabeth Klein Legacy Music Camps. The Instrumental Camp runs June 21–27, and the Vocal Camp runs July 12–18. Both camps feature daily lessons, ensemble rehearsals, elective classes, masterclasses with Chapman faculty, and a final performance at Musco Center for the Arts. Residential accommodations, meals, and materials are included. Faculty and staff receive a $200 tuition discount; early bird registration runs through April 1 at $1,195, and regular pricing is $1,495. SoCal Yearbook Workshop
