A Note from President Matt Parlow: Early Holiday Releases

As we approach the holiday season and look ahead to 2026, President Parlow is pleased to share that Chapman University will offer early releases on the business day prior to several upcoming holidays. These early releases give our employees a chance to spend extra time with family, friends, and loved ones. Please coordinate with your supervisor, as all early releases require supervisor approval.

Here are the upcoming early release dates:

Thanksgiving (extended) Thursday, Nov. 27 and Friday, Nov. 28, 2025 Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025 – 3 p.m.
Holiday Break Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025 – Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025 – 12 p.m.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Monday, Jan. 19, 2026 Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 – 3 p.m.
Cesar Chavez Day Friday, March 27, 2026 Thursday, March 26, 2026 – 3 p.m.
Memorial Day Monday, May 25, 2026 Friday, May 22, 2026 – 3 p.m.
(Note: This Friday is Chapman’s University Commencement ceremony)
Juneteenth Friday, June 19, 2026 Thursday, June 18, 2026 – 3 p.m.
Independence Day (extended) Friday, July 3 and Monday, July 6, 2026 Thursday, July 2, 2026 – 3 p.m.
Labor Day Monday, Sept. 7, 2026 Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 – 3 p.m.
