Chapman Family Homecoming 2025 welcomed students, alumni, parents, and friends to campus for two days of Panther pride, learning, and connection on Oct. 3–4.
Highlights included faculty-led master classes, milestone reunions, campus tours, open houses, and the traditional football game, with Chapman President Matt Parlow joining the action with the ceremonial coin toss before kickoff.
Chapman football was dominant against the University of Redlands, shutting them out 27-0 in front of a sold-out Panther crowd.
Prior to the game, Attallah Piazza came alive during the tailgate with free food, games, and live entertainment. Alumni gathered at the all-alumni social to hear remarks from President Parlow, while former Cheverton Award recipients gathered for an inaugural reception. The Class of 1985 enjoyed a 40th reunion watch party, while the Class of 1975 marked its 50th with a celebratory lunch.
Earlier in the day, master classes drew full rooms with topics ranging from Walt Disney and Charles Darwin to the science of aging well, the art of casting, leadership strategies, and dinosaurs.
Visitors explored campus through open houses and tours, including the Samueli Holocaust Memorial Library and the Hilbert Museum of California Art. Local businesses in the Orange Circle partnered to offer exclusive discounts.
With record attendance and many events selling out weeks ahead, this year’s Homecoming set a new benchmark. The weekend also launched Inauguration Week with a Friday evening event featuring Emmy, Peabody, and Webby Award-winner Keegan-Michael Key.
