For the many of incoming students and their families, the day was filled with excitement, nerves, and even a few tears as they carried boxes, hung posters, and settled into their new home away from home. Chapman’s Residence Life staff, along with a small army of volunteers, made the process smooth and welcoming, turning what could have been a stressful day into one filled with joy, energy, and support.

Move-in week continued with some of Chapman’s most beloved orientation traditions, including the Convocation Ceremony and the Candle Lighting Ceremony, both of which mark the official start of a student’s Chapman journey. These meaningful moments remind new Panthers that while move-in day may be filled with mixed emotions, it also represents the start of an unforgettable chapter.
