Studying

Chapman University is offering extended hours, wellness events and study support to help students manage stress and succeed during finals week.

Finals season is here, but you don’t have to tackle it alone. From free snacks and cuddly dogs to extended study hours and yoga breaks, Chapman University is offering a lineup of resources to help students finish strong from May 13-23. Here’s how to stay focused, feel your best and maybe even have a little fun along the way.

Move Your Body, Ease Your Mind

Stuck at your desk too long? Shake it off at the Henley Hall and Julianne Argyros fitness centers, open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during finals week (May 19-23). The fitness centers will be closed after finals and remain closed through summer.

For something more zen, head to Yoga on the Lawn on Saturday, May 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Memorial Lawn (Bert Williams Mall). Mats are limited, so bring your own or plan to get there early.

If you’re passing through Attallah Piazza May 13-16, swing by for wellness tips on movement, sleep, stress relief and nutrition.

While you’re there, don’t miss Active Minds’ Furry Friends for Finals on Tuesday, May 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a chance to play with therapy dogs and take a well-deserved mental health break. Later in the week, fuel your late-night grind at UPB’s Midnight Breakfast on Monday, May 19, from 9 p.m. to midnight.

If you prefer to hit the books somewhere quieter, Leatherby Libraries will also be open extra late:
