As summer comes to a close, Panthers are preparing for an annual rite of fall – Chapman Family Homecoming. The annual event will take place Sept. 22-23, and students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends are invited to campus to take part in two days of fun activities and plenty of opportunities to reconnect with everything we love about Chapman.
This year’s schedule includes master classes, tours and reunions, all leading up to the ever-popular Homecoming Tailgate Extravaganza and the Homecoming football game where the Panthers will face off against the Redlands Bulldogs.
Chapman experts from our schools and colleges will offer fascinating insight into science and society in a series of master classes presented on Saturday, Sept. 23. Some of the featured topics include a look at the intersection of art and mathematics with Chapman President Daniele C. Struppa, a discussion with an expert Hollywood forensics consultant, and an overview of a recent discovery at Chapman that will turn the radar industry on its head.
Master classes sell out quickly, but courses will have a standby line on the day of the event if you are not able to reserve a ticket.
Food, Family and Fun – Homecoming Tailgate Extravaganza
Gather in the Attallah Piazza to enjoy the collegial spirit while you partake of tasty food and drinks. Chapman student performers will provide entertainment as you reconnect with old friends and make new ones.
Then, head into Ernie Chapman Stadium to cheer on the Panthers as they take on the Redlands Bulldogs in the first SCIAC game of the season! Coach Bob Owens – the winningest coach in Chapman’s football history – is on his way to hitting a milestone 100 wins at Chapman this season, while senior quarterback Nathaniel Espinoza will try to repeat his 2022 All-SCIAC performance. It’ll be a game you don’t want to miss!
