PA Students Compete in National Challenge Bowl

Chapman University physician assistant students made placed among the top 40 teams in the country at the American Academy of Physician Assistants’ National Medical Challenge Bowl in May.

It was the first national challenge bowl appearance for Chapman, which won the California challenge bowl in October 2022. In the challenge bowls, participants answer medical questions in a game show-style format.

Chapman competed against 89 teams from around the country in the preliminary round at the AAPA challenge bowl in Nashville. They reached the first round with 36 other teams and didn’t advance.

The students who competed in Nashville were Troy Williamson, Ryan Farquhar, Nadia Keddo and Spencer Scobie-Gilpin, all Class of 2023. They were coached by Chapman PA faculty members Mayngan Stone and Anne Walsh.
