On Monday, Dec. 12, Chapman University’s Board of Trustees approved Chapman’s new five-year strategic plan, “Our Path to Greatness,” which will commence in 2023.
The community’s involvement in the development of the new Strategic Plan has been invaluable, and I am grateful to all those who offered feedback and insights on the journey to develop the plan.
Since June, we have had retreats, discussions, presentations and feedback opportunities with the Board of Trustees, senior leadership, deans, president of the Faculty Senate, the Student Governing Organization, faculty and staff. The result of that process is the university’s strategic path forward for the next five years.
“Our Path to Greatness” is defined by five pillars, which center on academic excellence, expanding graduate health sciences programs, organizational excellence, a comprehensive fundraising campaign, and campus projects that will enhance community spaces.
The plan will be made available on our website after the winter break, and as always, I invite you to join me at Chapman’s annual State of the University address on Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. to learn about the plan firsthand.
