James did an outstanding job to make our virtual Fall 2020 Meet Your Advisor event a great success. He created our RSVP and his initiative and hard work promoting the event led to record attendance. – LB Brown

Brittnie Ferguson, academic advisor, Academic Advising

Brittnie worked tirelessly to make our virtual Fall 2020 Meet Your Advisor event a great success. She developed a creative activity to better engage students throughout our event and sent regular updates all of the students. – LB Brown

The Facilities set up team has worked tirelessly over the past few months preparing the campus for its faculty, students and staff to return. Their work can be seen throughout the campus in classroom configurations, social distance signage, and the various hand/surface cleaning products that are supplied in our facilities. – Rick Turner

This committed team worked to initiate and deliver a 100% virtual hiring experience for 900+ new hires this fall, offering individualized care and exceptional service that is the hallmark of the Chapman Experience. – Brian Powell

Eijay (EJ) Berberabe, client/media services technician temp, IS&T

Eijay is quick to respond to classroom issues and always provides excellent support to classroom calls. His patience and willingness to return to answer additional questions is also a huge asset. – Helen Norris

Adam Winton, client/media services technician, IS&T

Adam is always extremely responsive to any problems that Media Services receives. He recently led a project across the Orange campus to update and troubleshoot hundreds of Apple TVs in classrooms and conference rooms. – Helen Norris

Cuauhtemoc (Temo) Zuniga, client/media services technician temp, IS&T

Temo provides outstanding service to faculty members that show up to a classroom with a high level of anxiety and leave confident that they can run a Zoom class using the new systems. – Helen Norris

Steve Acheson, network specialist, IS&T

Steve has updated the network ports across Beckman, Smith Hall and Keck classrooms to accommodate for the Extron remote monitoring application. He always responds to network related questions and provide on-site support when needed. – Helen Norris

Bruce Kennedy, IACUC administrator, Office of Research

Bruce is a key resource for the IACUC and the animal care program at Chapman during COVID-19. He helped to develop a comprehensive site-specific plan for the Vivarium and has worked closely with faculty to ensure research projects have continued with minimal or no disruption. – Tom Piechota

Olivia Kwitny, coordinator, alumni engagement, University Advancement

Olivia created Young Alumni Society featuring 1:1 mentorships with established alumni and redesigned multiple alumni web-pages with new content and photos. – Andi Doddridge

Bill Guzik, manager, alumni engagement, University Advancement

Connecting alumni everywhere to build strong networking, Bill led Global Chappy Hour at Homecoming, bringing dozens of alumni groups together via Zoom. – Andi Doddridge

Cristina Hallock, manager, Strategic Engagement Events, University Advancement

Christina built the 1st ever virtual 5K, a week of Master Classes & set-up the webpage “Chapman Family Room” with resources for all Chapman Family for Homecoming 2020. – Andi Doddridge

Joy Flynn, manager, Support Groups, University Advancement

Joy skillfully planned a very challenging 1st virtual Lunch at the Forum for Town & Gown and is moving all support group events to online for coming year. – Andi Doddridge
