Joe managed summer placement testing inquiries from incoming students, including working with faculty to troubleshoot issues. He processed hundreds of language and math test scores so students could register in the correct classes on time. – LB Brown
Heidi Choi, academic advisor, Office of the Provost
Heidi worked diligently to become our Zoom expert and has helped the AAC team learn best practices for doing advising via Zoom. She created a working model for online small group sessions for new students, orientation and fall events. – LB Brown
Tanaz Nourian, counselor UG admission, Office of Admission
Not only did she develop an Admission Podcast but is stellar in virtual presentations. From a high school counselor today, “Tanaz is truly an amazing counselor. Her engagement with students is remarkable…by far the best visit we have had this year.” – Jim Whitaker and Mike Pelly
Sadie Reeves, assistant director, Office of Admission
Sadie is balancing all her virtual high school visits while at the same time supporting all the virtual events we have for prospective students. – J. Whitaker & M. Pelly
Tracy Rastello, assistant director, Admission Communications, Office of Admission
Tracy has been instrumental in redesigning Discover Chapman Day for prospective students into our virtual Discover Chapman Events comprised of a month’s long array of virtual events bringing Chapman to potential new students. – J. Whitaker & M. Pelly
Olga Magana, operations manager, Sodexo
Olga Magana is our Operations Manager for retail and has worked hard to get the Starbucks and Rinker café open during this COVID period. It is no small task to accomplish with all the requirements to do so. – Eric Cameron
Martha Castrejon, talent acquisition specialist, Human Resources
Martha is a wonderful example of how to embody the Chapman Experience: she’s passionate about providing individualized care and exceptional service to her colleagues. She’s also a wonderful example of how to stay nimble and flexible in a constantly changing work environment, and has successfully facilitated each project she’s been asked to lead. – Rachael Martin

IS&T has had many HR needs during the pandemic. Brenda has assisted to ensure we that we can have appropriate staffing to support the campus. She always responds in a timely manner and is willing to investigate to get to the root cause of an issue. – Helen Norris

Crystal has been an excellent mentor for us. We had to make many revisions to the budgets due to the pandemic, and she is always willing to jump on a call for questions. – Helen Norris

Craig has managed the daily COVID email clearance system for many months. He has remained focused on this critical part of our safety procedures, even with the dramatic increase of faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students now returning to campus. – Helen Norris
