Congratulations to This Week’s Service Plan of Recognition Recipients

We are proud to name this week’s Service Plan of Recognition awardees for their extraordinary work as Chapman responds to COVID-19. Each staff and administrator selected embodies the dedication and integrity that continues to drive and strengthen Chapman University.

For information on how to nominate employees, read this article about the New Service Recognition Plan.

This week’s recipients are:

Vicente Zuniga, building engineer, Facilities Management

Moises Toledo, building engineer, Facilities Management

This past week and weekend Vicente and JR were instrumental in meeting the needs of the Rinker Campus. The conditions brought on by the recent heatwave strained campus building systems. They took the necessary actions to protect the research facilities and their programs. – Rick Turner

 Pamela Houchen, onboarding coordinator, IS&T

Pam has been assisting in scheduling training for adjunct faculty, checking contracts and ensuring that the faculty are scheduled in the right sessions.  Her assistance has been critical in saving time for the support and training teams. – Helen Norris

John Snyder, client media services technician, IS&T

John has been a critical member of the technical team all summer preparing classrooms for Fall.  In the first week of class, he has provided exceptional service to faculty using the classrooms, particularly handling after-hours support. – Helen Norris

Steve Acheson, network specialist, IS&T

Steve’s behind-the-scenes work all summer to get the classrooms wired for Zoom teaching has been exceptional. Without his diligent work in configuring the network to handle all the new devices, the project would not have been successful. – Helen Norris

Adam Winton, client/media service technician, IS&T

Adam has been flexible and positive, contributing to the completion of the Hyflex classroom project. He has also taken the lead role in supporting several virtual events without hesitation. – Helen Norris
