Shehani Reeder, executive assistant, Office of the Provost
Shehani has done a stellar job during the remote work period. In addition to her normal duties, she has picked up the duties of our staff person who is on maternity leave and has stepped in to assist me with several projects during this time. – LB Brown
Jannel Hope, senior Peoplesoft business analyst, Financial Services
Leslie Yoshimizu, finance application specialist, Financial Services
Both Jannel and Leslie have provided immediate service for setting up the CU safely back project and our fiscal year-end processes. – Behzad Binesh
Rob Cahoon, employee relations representative, Human Resources
Joyce Chen, employee relations associate, Human Resources
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and the social unrest seen this summer, Rob and Joyce have counseled numerous administrative employees struggling with a wide array of personal and professional issues. In even the most difficult of conversations they have demonstrated a high degree of compassion and sensitivity, thereby representing Chapman in the most professional way. – Brian Powell
Mike Ferguson, network operations manager, IS&T
Mike’s behind the scenes work has been instrumental in transitioning from the office to work from home, including the implementation of a new VPN. In fact, almost all technology projects to support the remote campus involve Mike. – Helen Norris
Tammy South, dispatch supervisor, Public Safety
Tammy has been a great partner to IS&T as we support campus users, particularly when delivering equipment to faculty and staff. She is a pleasure to work with. – Helen Norris

In recognition for building the powerpoint presentation and staffing the meeting with the Orange City Officials to discuss Chapman’s fall re-opening plans in light of COVID-19. – Harold Hewitt
Megan Faulkner, sponsored projects analyst, Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences and Office of Research
Megan continually goes the extra mile to ensure Crean College faculty and their sponsored activity are fully supported while they are working remotely. She works closely with not only her school, but with the Office of Research and various administrative offices throughout Chapman. In addition to her role as direct faculty support in Crean, Megan is always willing to jump in and assist with SPS activities for any faculty that may not have the same support in their academic units. – Tom Piechota
Rebecca Tangen, sponsored projects analyst, School of Pharmacy and Office of Research
Rebecca provides CUSP faculty with the benefit of her vast experience in research administration and regularly helps them to navigate complicated situations that arise due to the current environment and the impact the pandemic has had on research projects. She is also a proactive champion on behalf of faculty and has provided input for process improvement as the Office of Research implements new initiatives to streamline the administrative burden that sometimes comes along with grant management. – Tom Piechota
