With the majority of campus offices operating remotely, soft phone capabilities are more important than ever. All faculty and staff who have not done so already, can set up their soft phone using Microsoft Teams. With Teams, you can take work calls and check voicemail from any location.
To switch over to a soft phone setup, please email your request to Servicedesk@chapman.edu.
Since all soft phone calls will come through Microsoft Teams on your desktop or laptop, your physical Avaya phone will be removed from your desk upon your return to campus. This means that you will need a headset with a microphone when taking phone calls. IS&T will be more than happy to provide you with a headset if you do not already have one. Be sure to include this information in your request.
