We are pleased to announce a special encore Q&A event of ‘Turning Anguish Into Purpose,’ on Wednesday June 17 at 2 p.m. where the panelists will devote the entire hour to answering audience questions. Join the special encore Q&A event.
The live streamed conversation, “Turning Anguish Into Purpose,” sponsored by Wilkinson College, Fowler School of Law and numerous student organizations included two inspiring and remarkable leaders, Jimmie C. Gardner and Presidential Fellow “Prexy” (Rozell W.) Nesbitt. You can read more about the recent vigil and this event in our Chapman Newsroom.
Jimmie C. Gardner was a rising professional baseball player when he was wrongly incarcerated in 1990. He spent 27 years in jail before being exonerated. Since his release, Gardner has become an advocate for other wrongly imprisoned and over-incarcerated peoples.
“Prexy” (Rozell W.) Nesbitt is a Presidential Fellow in Peace Studies in Wilkinson College and is a major figure in the civil rights movements, who has worked to end apartheid in South Africa and police brutality in the United States.
