We are working to reduce the density of our campus housing by at least 20%. To accomplish this, we needed to reduce our returning student residents by 700 and our new student residents by 200-300. Recently, returning students with a permanent home address from San Diego County to San Luis Obispo were notified that they would need to seek off-campus housing. We feel local students have options to either commute from home, or are in a better position to search for housing options near campus. We are providing resources to assist students and families find housing.
