“We could not be more proud of our graduates this year,” says Chapman President Daniele C. Struppa. “They have shown they are capable of adapting to the most challenging circumstances and completed this semester, despite all the difficulties caused by the ongoing pandemic. We know every Chapman graduate is capable of amazing things. This class has been put to the test, and proven it.”

Though a traditional, in-person Commencement ceremony will be rescheduled, graduating students have been invited to attend a special, virtual event in their honor, on the date Commencement would originally have taken place. President Struppa, Provost Glenn M.Pfeiffer, Dean Jerry M. Price and other guest speakers will be on hand to offer words of congratulations and good luck as the graduates mark this milestone in their academic journeys.

All graduating students, their loved ones, friends, alumni and members of the Chapman Family are welcome to attend this virtual celebration, which can be viewed on Facebook, YouTube and Chapman’s Virtual Celebration Hub

Be sure to visit the Virtual Celebration Hub for all the details, information about festivities for individual schools and colleges,  and to leave messages of support and encouragement for the new grads.

Congratulations class of 2020.  You will be the toughest and strongest class to ever graduate from Chapman. Your stories, living thru COVID-19, will be part of history. Each of you will bring something so special to your careers that no other class can. I applaud you and send you all the best as you venture into the next chapter of your beautiful and wonderful lives!” — Heidi Huebner ’89
