Update on Commencement

As a result of the uncertainty surrounding the spread of COVID-19, Chapman University has postponed its 2020 Commencement until sometime during the summer.

In his March 30 daily update, Chapman University President Daniele C. Struppa stated that the decision was made after careful deliberation, which included consulting with deans, faculty, administration, and most importantly, more than 1,000 graduating seniors and family members. In a message to students, Struppa said it was vital to have the entire Chapman community involved in the decision.

“We are committed to providing the full Commencement experience that graduates have earned,” said Struppa. “It is an important milestone in the life of every student.”

Chapman’s Commencement website will be updated as details are finalized.
