This Civic Engagement Initiative program will provide more information and perspective on the way language has shaped and continues to shape the experience of Black/African-Americans, specifically in U.S. society, including references to how language has shaped policy, politics, movements, etc. 

 

Words Have Power: Faculty Perspectives on How Language Shapes the LGBTQIA Experience in the United States

Wednesday, Feb 26, noon – 1 p.m., Argyros Forum Student Union Stage

This Civic Engagement Initiative program will provide more information and perspective on the way language has shaped and continues to shape the experience of the LGBTQIA community, specifically in U.S. society, including references to how language has influenced culture, policy, politics, movements, etc.

Light refreshments will be served at both events.
