Chapman Remembers Lisa Litwiller

The Chapman community mourns the passing of Lisa Litwiller, professor in the Fowler School of Law.

Professor Litwiller taught Civil Procedure, California Civil Procedure, and several other law subjects to hundreds of Chapman law students over the years. She joined the Fowler School of Law in 1998 and was beloved by her students and colleagues alike. Her scholarship focused on various aspects of civil litigation and appeared in journals such as the Rutgers Law Review, University of San Francisco Law Review, and Chapman Law Review

Before joining the Fowler School of Law, Professor Litwiller was an associate attorney at O’Melveny & Myers and then a partner at Berger, Kahn, Shafton, Moss, Figler, Simon & Gladstone. Her legal practice focused on large, complex civil litigation. She received her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Southern California. 

Funeral services will be held for Professor Litwiller on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Pacific View Mortuary Chapel at 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona del Mar, California 92625. She will be dearly missed by her students and colleagues at the Fowler School of Law.
