Enjoy the magic with a taste of Cirque du Soleil at Chapman University

Chapman University will host its third annual Cirque du Soleil Entertainment and Technology Symposium, Sept. 28 and 29, under the direction of Alicia Guy, associate professor, Department of Dance, and Don Guy, assistant professor, Department of Theatre, and head of Entertainment Technology.

Part of the symposium this year will include the “Art through Collaboration” workshop performance, which combines dance and technology. This inaugural workshop performance will be the direct result of students being inspired by the symposium. The collaboration performance is open and free to the public.

Pre-performance festivities will begin Saturday at 7:30 p.m. outside of Argyros Forum. Popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones will be served. The performance will begin at 8 p.m. inside Argyros Forum 119 and will include a Q&A with the entire artistic team. Immediately following, the College of Performing Arts will host a thank-you meet-and-greet-reception for Cirque du Soleil and their industry partners in Salmon Recital Hall.
